Year in review 2022 - our highlights!
What were our highlights of 2022?
We have reviewed the last twelve months and are pleased about many positive events.
The end of the year is a time for reflection. With a little distance, an objective view of the past is possible and then we ask ourselves the question, would we have done everything exactly the same again with the knowledge of today or has the perspective changed?
Re-certification ISO 9001
At the beginning of the year we had TÜV Saar as our guest. The result was the re-certification to the ISO 9001 quality standard. Despite all the work and the complexity of such an appointment, we have become really good at successfully passing such an appointment. Similar to a written exam, the ISO certification is the result of a long preparation. Successful is the one who is optimally organized between the appointments and fulfills the requirements. We were able to get better at this during the year, so that upcoming appointments will be easier. We have managed to ensure that the quality philosophy behind certification is present in the back of our team's minds and that we are increasingly able to respond to the measurable criteria of an ISO 9001 operation. The turbulence of recent times has also shown that a per se rigid quality management system based on fixed parameters responds well to major operational changes and that the results remain valid.
Team spirit
The fact that quality is more than the sum of individual processes and that we are capable of outstanding results as a team with individual personalities is a realization that has received more and more attention this year. That's why we created the "We Days". This involved two days just about us as a team, without the distraction of work. In hindsight, we see positive after-effects even months later. We have gained a newly created awareness of how we behave in everyday life. And awareness, as we all know, is an important step for long-term change. We're staying on the ball and continuing the "We Days" format.
Face-to-face meetings
Our on-site ISO certification and the We Days were only possible because we were able to meet in person again this year with almost no restrictions. Our first trade show visit in three years at Euroblech 2022 was also an interpersonal highlight. The results that came out of our trade show visit are valuable and lasting. We had been looking for a tube processing machine for a long time, and thanks to EuroBLECH we have a shortlist. There is no alternative to the trade show as an industry meeting place.
SCS - Secure Cage Systems
Trade fairs and events have also been a relevant touchpoint for our SCS - Secure Cage Systems division. The IT security industry is growing, so we participated as an exhibitor for the first time.
Even more than planned, security solutions for data centers are in great demand and are becoming the core business with SCS. We are happy about this, but we see the area of securecages for servers and file archives of SMBs as equally relevant. We are excited to see how awareness in the market will change not only for digital but also for physical data security.
Fleet conversion to e-mobility
We were able to take an important step towards becoming a climate-neutral company by converting our vehicle fleet. We now no longer drive a car with a conventional drive. Electromobility does make the air cleaner, but it still requires energy, both to build the cars and to run them. That's why the real benefit to the environment is in the reduction. We have taken this to heart and have also reduced the size of the vehicle fleet. This requires a little more organization on our part and not everyone has their own vehicle, but the feeling of purging and the conservation of our resources compensate for the disadvantages.
In this spirit, we wish all employees and business partners all the best for 2023 and thank you for the great cooperation!
